Banknotes issued between late 1979 and 1980 are known as surcharge notes, distinguished by the King's portrait being obscured with arabesque overprint. This modification was carried out by the renowned printing company De La Rue. These notes feature a variety of ink colours, including light green, dark green, and black (see the last image as a comparison). Due to their brief circulation period, they are considered rare and highly collectible.
Attention Professional Collectors: Please Read Carefully!
We understand that quality is of utmost importance to serious collectors like you. To assist in your assessment, we provide high-quality images as the primary basis for evaluating the condition of the notes.
While images take precedence, we also take great care to describe the condition as accurately as possible. The quality of our banknotes is categorized into two main groups: *Uncirculated* and *Circulated*. For further clarification, we use grading terms such as VF (Very Fine), XF (Extremely Fine), F (Fine), AUNC (About Uncirculated), and UNC (Uncirculated). These align with the standards established by trusted grading companies like PMG and PCGS.
