You are kindly buying two notes from 1944 in an uncirculated condition (possibly PMG grade 64+). If looking for notes suitable for grading please check the Gem UNC versions.
First 5 and 10 Rials from the Pahlavi II era. These notes are among the smallest notes issued at that time.
The obverse features a youthful portrait of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi on the right, framed by intricate geometric guilloché borders and central calligraphic denomination lettering.
On the reverse, the note showcases a detailed engraving of an architectural illustration of the Tomb of Daniel (Daniel-e Nabi) located in Susa (Shush) recognisable by its distinctive, pinecone-shaped conical spire (for 5 Rials) and Mount Damavand rising above the surrounding landscape (10 Rials). Issued under Bank Melli authority with dual official signatures, its delicate paper and short period in circulation make it a notable piece from this wartime emission.
