You are kindly buying two notes from 1944 in a gem uncirculated condition. We expect a pmg grade 66+ for this pair.
First 10 Rials from Mohammadreza Pahlavi. This note is the second smallest note issued at that time.
The obverse features a youthful portrait of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi on the right, framed by intricate geometric guilloché borders and central calligraphic denomination lettering.
On the reverse, the note showcases a detailed engraving of Mount Damavand rising above the surrounding landscape. Issued under Bank Melli authority with dual official signatures, its delicate paper and short period in circulation make it a notable piece from this wartime emission.
